You Can Do Nothing Without Christ
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 NKJV
IN HIM IS POWER
It is only in Christ that we can do anything of value. In Him, we are given the help and power to bear much fruit.
In other words, we can do many good deeds with His help and strength.
APART FROM HIM WE CAN DO NOTHING
Apart from him, like the branches off the vine, we can do nothing. Living in Him and being a part of His strength, we are empowered for service and true life. If we are away from the Vine, we shrivel and die, producing nothing.
FULL LIFE
If we remain/stay/abide in Christ we have FULL life. Pulling away from Him is always our spiritual death. Christ gives us the joy and life-giving springs of living water.
His love, through the Holy Spirit, flows through us and permits us to truly live and serve.
In Christ, we can do all things 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. NKJV
Away from Him, without Him, apart from Him we can do nothing.
How blessed we are that with the power of Jesus in our lives, we can do things of value and produce good fruit in service to others.
