I will praise You with my whole heart... Psalm 138:1 NKJV

In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.  Psalm 138:3 NKJV

Have you been there as I too have been? We praise God because we recall the many times we were in trouble. We were caught in the middle of a bad health situation, or the loss of a job, or a problem in the family, and we felt that we were in over our heads.

Knowing that we couldn’t fix the situation, we called upon God and He heard us and answered.

Perhaps, we realized anew that we were totally undeserving of His grace and help, yet we were again the recipients of His Goodness and we praised Him for His Amazing Love.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.

The Lord revived me; He stretched out His Hand and saved me. No problem was too great for HIM!

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.  Psalm 138:7-8 NKJV

Indeed, God perfected that which had bothered me.

The things that paralyzed me with fear were made as nothing when God stepped in.

He whisked it away and  His mercy restored me.

He remembered me and helped me thoroughly through his forever-enduring mercy.

Search My Heart

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.  Psalm 139:23-24 NKJV

We all should come to God with this prayer in our hearts and on our lips. Truly, we need to ask God to look within our hearts and search them out. Reveal to us our sins and fears and every wicked thing within us.

Then, after revealing them, may the Holy Spirit cause us to seek God’s forgiveness  and to lead us ever after in the ways that are godly and righteous.

If you haven’t done so yet, it is time to get your heart on its knees, and pray this prayer for yourself.

Forgiveness, help, and love will be poured into your soul.

When those gifts from God are received, may you ever seek to serve Him with all of your heart, soul, and life.
