Tiny Hands
She reaches amazingly small 3 month old fingertips up
to catch my hand as I smooth her blanket.
I take her tiny hand in mine.
For long golden moments, we are silent
with her baby hand reaching up
and my wrinkled hand reaching down,
clasped.
I whisper, I love you.”..
and she grabs harder to my fingers
as if to say the same in the only way she knows.
And I realize anew that God touches hearts
often using a child’s so very tiny hands.
