Who is the blameless man?
Is there such a person you know.
7 Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace. Psalms 37:37 NKJV
BLAMELESS AND UPRIGHT
The Bible tells us who that man is.
The psalmist says that the blameless man, the upright man does God’s Will and is therefore without blame.
He is attempting to follow God and keep His commandments.
His heart is in the right place. He seeks to do God’s Will in his life.
LIVING HIS LIFE WITH GOD
He spends his life in service to God and man. He wants nothing more than to please God and not sin against Him.
His ultimate goal is to bring joy to God by living out his life in righteousness.
That man is considered blameless and upright in his ways and manner of living.
WHAT IS AHEAD?
There is more to this verse, however.
The man who is blameless by such living and obeying has a future.
That future in a world of upheaval is not like that of the lives of others.
FOR OTHERS
Others are fraught with worry and fear, concern and upset.
They strive for fame and fortune, success, and monetary wealth.
OUR GUY
Our friend, the blameless, upright man, is not bent on such pursuits.
He, you remember, is simply following God and His law and seeking to make God happy with his life.
A FUTURE OF PEACE
Such a man will have a future that is peaceful.
The world will be in confusion and sorrow, discord and strife, but the upright and blameless will live with peace in his heart. He might face terrible times and grave difficulties but there is a difference. This man knows he is following God’s law and keeping God’s commands. He knows despite all that he might face, he has God in his life and heart. All is ultimately well. He is safe and at peace.
What a future!
