Psalm 138:1-3 NKJV
I will praise You with my whole heart;
…
2 I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
…
3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.
When you Praise God do you do so with all of your heart?
Is every cell of your body into your worship of Your Creator and God? Does your love flow from your heart and soul outward to God without earthly things blocking your view of His Majesty? Are you praising Him with your whole heart as the psalmist tells us that he is doing?
Do you praise Him because of your gratitude to Him for His lovingkindness and truth? So much in our world is that which is not loving nor kind and is as far from truth as it can be.
Where does your praise stand?
When things were going all wrong and you cried out to God in complete and total sorrow and grief, did you hear His answer?
He was there as He said that He would be. God answered you..and me. He strengthened us and made us bold, encouraging our souls. He Strengthens our souls with His Joy. Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!!
Psalm 138:7-8 NKJV
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
8 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Have you ever felt that you were walking in the middle of nothing but trouble?
It seemed that one major difficulty after another was on your path.
Did you feel the exhaustion of the day catching up to you and you could barely lift your head?
Do you want nothing more than to lie down and give up?
Then you thought of God as your Loving Father and you pictured yourself curled up as a child in the lap of God.
You rested your head upon His Shoulder and allowed Him to take those troubles and problems.
Did you leave them there for Him to bear for you and feel the incredible relief of that moment?
You simply needed Him to revive you.
You needed Him to put new life into your soul.
God promised to put His Holy Spirit into the lives of those who believed, those who asked for forgiveness, and took Jesus as their Savior. You then asked for God’s Holy Spirit to revive you and renew you and He has. And He will do so again if you need refreshing.
He is such a Good, Powerful, Abundant and Holy God that He will do this for us.
God will stretch out His Hand to His believers and make all things new for us.
God perfects all those things over which we have been concerned.
Somewhere, a scientist once figured out that only 15 percent of the things that we worry about actually come to pass.
God reminds us that even if the worst happens to us, He is more than able to help us through it and that He will never, never leave us.
His amazing mercy endures forever.
There are powers on earth but they are limited. Some men and women have limited authority but none with the ultimate authority of God. There are fine people, but no one good but God, nor anyone who will be there for us as God is throughout the endless eons of time and eternity.
Only our God.
Our Powerful God alone.
Only Him.
He will not forget the work of His Hands.
God will not forget you.
He made you.
Our God loves and will help you.
He will never forsake you.
He loves you…and me.
I love this psalm and more importantly, I love the only true God of Whom it reminds us and Who deserves our praise and worship.
Come and let us together worship our Glorious God!!
