Tired? Worn out? Exhausted? All three?

“31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NKJV

Do you wake tired and go through your day growing wearier and wearier? Do daily tasks look like mountains to climb? Does enthusiasm seem swallowed up by exhaustion? Does this sound familiar?

THE SOLUTION

The prophet Isaiah wrote long ago about the solution that God Himself offers to us.

If we wait quietly upon the Lord, serving Him, and not rushing ahead of His perfect plan for us, He will renew our strength. As we draw closer to God in fellowship and prayer, it begins.

REST IN HIM

Firstly, stop and rest in Him. Pray. Talk to Him. Listen.

Read His Word. Be Still. Let Him Hold You. Rest.

RUNNING

He promises that we will not only get our energy back up, but we will run and not be weary. It’s an amazing promise. Running in the place where we had barely had the energy to crawl along. Walking through the day without fainting, literally or physically.

What a promise to those of us who were running on empty.

STRENGTH FROM GOD

We are told we can run in the strength given us by God Himself.

On our own, we remain in our weary state, however, when we commit to serve God and to rest in His Help, we are GIVEN the strength we need to do what we should. We are given the energy to follow His Will for us. Sometimes we expound energy for things that are not His Will. Sometimes we have ideas that we have not prayed over. We put our energy into  things that are not His Plan,

Like all of God’s promises, this one comes with full answers, full assurance, full strength, full joy. We are told that we will run in the strength given us by God Himself.

The strength we are given is to be used to continue to do the daily work He has for us, in service to Him and others as we share Jesus. Doing such things, with the power He gives, keeps us in strength and in JOY.

Such Power from God will help us SOAR as eagles.

Draw close to God. Seek Him every hour. Trust Him. Love Him. Give yourself to Him.

And…Get ready to SOAR!!
