Rejoice in the Lord

Rejoice in the Lord!

Rejoice in all things.

When you pray, you should always acknowledge to whom you are praying. Let your prayers open with praise to the one who answers your prayers.

God is the reason we can rejoice. He is the one who provides all we need. His love for us overshadows everything that comes against us. When we look up into the heavens and see the glory of His handy work, our hearts overflow.

It is not the world that gives us reason to be happy and full of joy. However, there are times when we act as if all good things come from our actions. Don’t be fooled.

There is a reason why the Scripture tells us to rejoice in the Lord. One reason is that it helps us put our life in perspective. We are here on earth for only a short period, and then we have eternity.

Rejoice

Paul tells us we must, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”  Philippians 4:4 NKJV Rejoicing should be our natural response to God’s great love for us.

It helps us to remember who we are when we pray short prayers throughout the day. We can find many different things to thank God for, and it is natural to rejoice in Him as we thank Him.

Paul gives us a way of life as we walk in faith with Jesus. It is more than a command. He is telling us how we can be happy in all life circumstances.

I hope that you can join Carol and I in starting your day with prayer and rejoicing. God does so much for us each day we live. Even if we had nothing but the beauty of the trees and the grass it would be enough for us to be thankful.
