What is Perfect Love? It is love that casts out fear.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 NKJV
God promises us NO FEAR!
Perfect love is the way that fear is cast out.
In other words, perfect love is truly loving God. Truly loving God means trusting Him fully, totally, and with all of our hearts.
PURE ASSURANCE
Any concern following God is swallowed up in the pure assurance that He is trustworthy, all righteous, all-wise, all good, all holy, all pure, and all-loving.
FOLLOWING OUR FATHER
Following such a Father brings peace and the certainty that He is in perfect control of all things.
WORRY IS POINTLESS
Worry is pointless with God leading us through life.
Since our Father, Who alone knows the path and future, is leading us, we need not worry about what lies before us.
He has told us 365 times in the Bible not to be afraid or some version of that command.
He has given us one for each day of the year.
IT IS TIME
Thus, it is time we listened and obeyed. Loving and trusting God will drive out our panic. Embracing the words of Scripture that encourage us to have strong faith in our loving Father puts us on the path to peace. Doubts along the journey are replaced with faith in the One Who cares and knows all about our trials.
Following God, leaning on His wisdom and guidance, and holding to His Hand of Love, will banish all negative thoughts. Loving God with a perfect Love and trusting His perfect love for us will bring us to the place of NO FEAR!
