NIGH
In the silence, I sense the heartbeat of God.
This is my time of listening.
My prayer is over,
and in the hush of waiting for His reply to my soul,
I bask in the awe of His love,
and the peace
with which He covers me.
There is no place sweeter than this place
close to Him.
He fills my mind with thoughts from Him.
I want only to stay here
in this fellowship of joy.
His love is my strength,
my breath,
my being,
my reason to live.
This holy time,
this quiet place,
this boundless love
is only found
in the closeness
of my God.
