Jesus Given All Authority
We have a problem with the concept of Jesus being given all authority. Today we tend to think that we are an authority and this leads us to a downward spiral into sin. Do you agree with God or the world?
Do you agree that Jesus has all authority?
Is God right or are you right? This question is serious. It is so easy to follow the world.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Matt 28:11 NKJV
It is the world vs God.
The world says
A large segment of our nation says that a mother has the right to kill the life God has placed in her. We have labeled these women’s rights so it does not sound as bad as killing a baby.
God has given that authority to Jesus alone. The child is not ours to decide whether it lives or dies.
God says
On the other hand, God has said, “thou shall not kill.” Exodus 20:13 KJV
The world says
The world says that it is not a person until after it is born so they are just removing a growth.
God says
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5 God knew us before we were formed. What is in the womb is someone that God has already planned for. They are a part of God’s overall purpose.
It is not up to us to decide what to do with God’s creation. We know nothing about that person who is alive within another person. There is no way for us to know what they will be.
Again, God’s Word says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13
The taking of life is not our decision!
God gave Jesus all authority under heaven. We need to examine all our viewpoints. Make sure that we are on God’s side in all issues. He is a jealous God.
