INTO LIFE
A flash of blue brought my eyes to the dogwood tree. There a bluebird perched and stayed until he had nourished my soul, giving me just what the good Lord knew I needed. Squirrels ran about. They too filled my need for beauty.
I was brought from my counting “ALL THINGS WRONG”, to counting “ALL THINGS RIGHT” in my life.
The list was endless now:
bird songs,
new puppies at my neighbor’s,
my seven-year-old son churning bike wheels to his joy of being,
sunlight,
earth’s music.
Thoughts surged that I was whole.
Joyfully, I was replenished.
I would go on into yet another spring, another summer.
“I am………..life”…..Jesus once said. (John 11:25, John 14:6)
Had I been content til now with being half alive?
I turned from my self-appointed tomb.
He called me by name, as He did Mary by the sepulcher.
I, too, have called Him, “Master”, as she did, in response.
I am alive – because HE IS.
The bluebird flies away.
I thank Him for sending that little piece of joy
– and for His Son – and for Salvation – and for Eternal Life – Eternal Joy – Eternal Hope.
I walk from the tomb in which my heart had lain

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believeth thou this? She saith unto him, “Yea, Lord, I believe...” John 11:25-27a
“He is not here, for HE IS RISEN…” Matthew 28:6
