I Stand Amazed
Yes, amazed, Lord God, You have been so good to me that I find it impossible to express my thankfulness. I could start by thanking You for creating this beautiful world for me to live in and enjoy. Around me, I see Your miracles displayed. The trees, the grass, and the stars in the sky display the wonders of Your creation.
I am even more amazed when I read that You knew me before You formed me in my mother’s womb. That You who created all things would even be concerned about one person is beyond my understanding. Yet I see Your love all around me and I feel a desire to love others because You love me.
When I read John 3:16 NKJV, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life,” my heart is filled with thanksgiving. I know that it was not just for me, but I am a part of that world. It brings tears of joy to me when I think about the sacrifice You made for me.
You have shown us how to love. Your love for Your children is sacrificial. Help us to love our children as You love us. May we guide them into making wise choices. Thank You, O Lord God!
