LIFE
Here we are, you and I, living and breathing and here for this moment.
If God so wills, we will be here for the hour, or day, or many more years.
How wonderful just to be alive!
Life is a precious gift from God that we can never thank Him for with enough gratitude.
The LOVE that He showers upon us daily is also beyond our comprehension.
GOD is the Source of Life, and He is Love. (I John 4:8)
He tells us that He loves us over and over in His Word.
In Jeremiah, we read:
The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore, with loving kindness, I have drawn you.” Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV
You are loved by God, your Father, with an everlasting love.
So am I.
Our glorious Creator, the One Who made us and loves us, loves us with a love that will never go away.
It will never die.
It is not the love of humans that all too often fades and dies when the object of our love disappoints or fails us.
God has always loved us, and He always will.
What a gift! How truly wonderful, just to be alive and to be loved by God!
If you are a parent, you know the unconditional love that you have for your child. He or she disappoints us at times, perhaps grievously, but our love for that child never goes away.
God loves us with such an unconditional love .
His love is far, far deeper than the love we have for our child.
Have We Turned From God?
Now we are struck with the realization that we do not love Him as He loves us. We go our way, putting other gods in front of Him.
I realize that He is the ONLY GOD. Yet, every time we put something or someone in place of putting God first, we worship that false god.
Perhaps it is your time, or your money, your education, or your popularity.
Am I getting close?
Whatever it is that keeps us from putting God before all else and loving HIM with all of our hearts, minds, and beings means we are worshiping something instead of God.
What is it that you think of the most?
What takes most of your time?
Is there one person that you think of when you hear the word LOVE?
Instead, we should choose God, obeying, thanking, and praising Him.
God knows our hearts and our thoughts. It is time to be honest with ourselves.
It is time to:
PUT GOD FIRST.
LOVE HIM.
All else will fall into place when we do.
Lastly, Let Us Look At Our Marriage
I could never love my husband more than I love God.
He has said the same of me.
I am second to God. If we ever put each other first, our marriage would fall apart.
It was God Who put us together, and Who gave us the most wonderful marriage (we believe) in the world.
We are so blessed, but it is because we put God where He is supposed to be…FIRST.
HE LOVES US.
We love Him.
And it is absolutely wonderful to be alive!
It is truly a gift from God to us.
