Hope of Winter
“This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles.” Psalm 34:6
Do you have the Hope of Winter within your soul or are you in despair?
Look around you.
The winter of your soul is upon you.
Your plans lie scattered at your feet.
Your future looks dim.
Do you feel that you have absolutely nowhere to turn?
Perhaps, you feel beyond discouraged and truly at the end of yourself.
When we have arrived at the very bleakest winter of our soul, we discover there is still hope because there is still God.
He is waiting for you to call out to Him for the Help that only He possesses.
——
Like trees
of winter,
we wait ’til life
has stripped us
before we raise
empty arms
Heavenward.
—
I, too, lift now
my brokenness
to You, Lord,
again seeking life.
—
Raising our cry and our hands in prayer to God brings us to the Source of all Hope and Help.
There is joy in Him and, therefore, hope in the winter of our lives.
Reach out to Him now in prayer.
