HE ALONE
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7 NKJV
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” Lamentations 3:24 NKJV
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NKJV
All my life, I’d written.
Then, the day I learned my son had brain cancer,
the words that lived inside me
Died.
Today, in trickling simplicity they began to drop again
onto the paper,
like life’s blood falling from an unknown wound.
God’s Grace poured through impenetrable sorrow
and warmed dreams frozen by life’s horror.
He brought Spring in the midst of Winter,
thawing a heart afraid to beat.
Reminding
He alone
is Hope.
