Do you trust God?
Where have you planted your trust?
Where we place our trust is a major consideration for all in life. Many people evaluate at great length what investment or political party is trustworthy on earth, giving little thought to what is truly worth our eternal trust.
In fact, it is only God Who has proven Himself to be worthy of our trust. He alone never fails and rewards those whose trust is in Him.
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 NKJV
When we put our trust fully and completely in the Lord and realize that our hope lies only in Him, we have peace and security like a tree planted in a healthy, nourishing place. Our souls are watered and fed and kept free from fear. We need not be anxious or terrified no matter the changes that surround us in life.
We are secure in our God Who keeps us in the drought around us. Times may change and life might seem very precarious. Financial worlds may totter and health issues may seem very uncertain. God’s promise to be our hope and to keep us yielding fruit…doing good works and growing spiritually…are the promises given to those whose trust is planted in Him. Where have You placed Your Trust?
