Ever wonder why we go through the troubles we do?
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. II Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV
THE BRINGING OF COMFORT
God brings comfort and is so good. In the midst of our tribulations and troubles, He is merciful and comforts us.
There is a secondary reason for His comforting us in the heartaches and pain and struggles of this life. He wants to help us come to Him and to give us the guidance and love and help we need. This we know as believers and because we know He is a good and loving Father.
THE SECOND REASON
The second reason is that we can take the memory of that time of difficulty and remember how our precious God and Father came to our aid.
He sent the Holy Spirit to bring us comfort and the life of Jesus to cast our eyes upon for example
He helped us and healed us and led us through that dark place of the soul that we journeyed.
It was so that now we can also share that time with someone else who is going through a difficult time of their own.
We can remind them of the help that is available to believers from their loving and faithful, strong, and holy God.
SHARING
Sharing the experiences we have had of relying on our God and telling of the help and care He gave us in the time of our need brings a double blessing from our tribulation. This is the plan all along. We call out to our Father for the help we need and later we can comfort others and lead them to believe in Christ for salvation and turn to God for the forgiveness of their sins and help for their needs.
BLESSED
The blessing blesses. God is so good.
