For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
BLIND FAITH…
“I just don’t know if the current rate of deterioration will continue,” said my eye doctor, with a frown.
My imagination comes out of hiding at his words, and I picture myself groping in a semi-blind state, someday.
Later, friends tell me they will guide me if it ever comes to that.
This brings emotions that are equal portions of gratitude, rebellion, ….. and stark fear.
I don’t want to end up being guided through the darkness, I think, no matter how trustworthy the guide.
Seeing the Path or Not
I WANT TO SEE MY OWN PATH THROUGH THIS LIFE!
With a spiritual cymbal crash, I am stopped short by that thought…..
…….I want to see my own path through this life…
—
God Whispers
God whispers to my heart, that I won’t be able to see my life’s path ahead, anyway –
… as only He can do that.
I MUST trust Him.
He says He will hold on to me
and guide me safely,
never leave me,
never forsake me.
The rebellion and fear slip away.
Clinging to God
I am clinging in gratitude to my faithful Father Who is my life’s Guide.
Realization comes that I don’t need to see the steps, or the path to follow Him.
My eyes only need to be on Christ—for they will then indeed see to walk in faith.
Perfect Vision
He teaches me that:
BLIND FAITH GIVES US PERFECT VISION!
What a blessing is this gift of my physical sight failing!
I have never seen the face of Christ more clearly!
