Believe, Obey, Praise

Our salvation from God leads us to believe, then obey, and joyfully praise Him all our days.

The evidence of God sending Jesus Christ, His Son to save us from our sins is overpowering. Hundreds of prophecies, over 700 years, are fulfilled in one Person, Jesus Christ. However, God gives each of us free will to believe in and live for Him.

Saved

The following two verses show us how simple becoming a Christian, a follower of Jesus, can be:

Romans 10:9-10  NKJV  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

We Believe

We believe because the evidence is too strong not to believe that Jesus is the Promised Christ. Believing then, we confess that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and we must then confess our sins, asking God to forgive us through Christ. We REPENT, that is TURN from, our sins.

Tell others of our faith.

We live out our faith. Joshua made a bold statement telling others to choose whom they would serve, but letting them know that he and his household were serving the One and Only True Jehovah God of Israel.

Joshua 24:15  NKJV  15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [a]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

God’s Forgiveness

This choice to receive Christ into our lives and to be blessed with God’s forgiveness is the singular most important decision in our entire life.

How can we do anything thereafter but PRAISE the God Who made all this possible? Our lives are His and we truly feel that we want to pour out our praise with every breath.

Praise God!

I Chronicles 16:8-12 NKJV

Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
11 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth…

Therefore like David, in this psalm of praise, we want to praise God with all of our being.
